CAREER OPPORTUNITIES AT BASELINE NURSERIES
Landscape Crew MemberThis position will require the successful candidate to plant large calliper trees in front and back yards, as part of a planting crew, for our customers. As well as complete other landscaping tasks on our commercial landscaping crew. Good Customer Service Skills are an asset, along with strength and endurance to work in the outdoors. A D licence is also very beneficial for this position, as you will be a more valuable asset on our crews when you can drive our large trucks. This position is a seasonal position, excellent for college/university students looking to go back to school. Longer term employment is always available for those who would like a longer season as well.
Landscape Technician
The successful candidate will be required to have prior knowledge of landscaping, this job requires some of the following skills.
Planting and laying out garden beds.
Mulch installation as well as garden clean up and garden bed refurbishment.
General landscape improvements and upgrades.
Additional Duties
Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment required to complete projects
Inspect vehicles and equipment daily to ensure safe operation
Collaborate with small landscape crews to effectively and efficiently complete tasks
Qualifications & Required Skills
2+ years of landscape construction experience preferred.
Strongly motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work collaboratively with colleagues
Ability to read landscape plans is an asset
Knowledge of plant material is an asset
Must have a valid Class G Driver’s License.
Must have a Class AZ or DZ Licence

Baseline Nurseries has enjoyed over 30 years serving the landscaping needs of wholesale and retail customers in London and the surrounding area. We are the largest garden centre in London and growing! Known for our large caliper shade trees grown on premises, we offer a unique park-like experience to our clients. In addition to deciduous trees, we carry wire basket evergreens and a large selection of shrubs and perennials. We have a full range of fertilizers, grass seed, bulk soil and mulch available for pick up or home delivery.

You will be required to work weekends, we will accommodate days off as much as possible when given appropriate notice.
Spring hours can be as many as 40-50 hours per week
There will be some downtime in July and August when you will expect closer to 20-25 hours per week
Dress for and expect to work through all kinds of weather i.e. hot/cold/wet/muddy
Expect daily physical activity and some heavy lifting but the good news is, you won’t need to hit the gym at the end of the day!
