1. Timing is Key
Fall Seeding (Late Summer/Early Autumn): The best time to seed for cool-season grasses (like Kentucky bluegrass, fescue, and perennial
ryegrass) is in late summer/early fall (August to mid-September).
Why Fall? Milder temperatures and less competition from weeds make it easier for grass seedlings to establish.
Spring Seeding: If you miss the fall window, you can also seed in early spring (around March).
2. Soil Preparation
Weed Control: Before seeding, control existing weeds and debris.
Soil Testing: Consider testing your soil to determine pH levels and nutrient needs.
Tilling and Raking: Till the soil to a depth of 15-20 cm, then rake to create a level, firm seedbed.
Topdressing: Add topsoil, compost, or peat moss to improve soil structure and fertility.
Rolling: Roll the seedbed after raking to ensure good seed-to-soil contact.
3. Seeding
